Hey! My name is Alexandra Manitsa. You can call me Alex or Coco or Princess! I am from Trikala, a beautiful city in the middle of Greece. I’ve studied History and Archaeology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Although,my passion was fashion. After I finished my studies,I went to the fashion school Pansik in Thessaloniki. I’ve studied fashion management,fashion styling and fashion make up. I moved to London on Sept of 2017.

Τι κάνεις επαγγελματικά αυτόν τον καιρό; Με τι ασχολείσαι ή ετοιμάζεσαι να ασχοληθείς; 

Now,I am a visual merchandiser at the fashion house of Balmain in London.I love my job.I love designing window displays everyday.Its an exciting world.I feel lucky and blessed.I love turning my creativity into a reality.I have to work 65 hours at least every week.So I’m always so busy.This means no personal life.Well,I guess it’s not my priority.Im single,in case you are wondering!!Most of the time,late evening work is common.I’m used to it now.I am a perfectionist so I want everything to be perfect at work.

Ως δραστήριο, μορφωμένο και δυναμικό άτομο -και μάλιστα νέο- βιώνεις διακρίσεις/μπούλινκ/επιθέσεις στον επαγγελματικό σου χώρο από άτομα ‘’φτασμένα’’;

Fashion is about sexiness,wealth,aesthetics,youth.It changes over time and you have to keep up.In the fashion world,age is just a number.I have to admit that people who are 50 years old(for example my boss) have more experiences than people who are 20.The most important thing in the fashion industry is that you need to take care of yourself and keep up with the trends.You can be 20,30,40,50,60 or 70 and you are still able to work and do your best.

Είσαι ευαίσθητο και κοινωνικοποιημένο άτομο σε ότι αφορά κοινωνικά, πολιτικά, διεθνή, περιβαλλοντικά ζητήματα, θέματα γύρω από τα ζωάκια, κλπ; 

I have to admit that I have never been interested at politics.I believe that politics is not for everyone and it’s that simple.I care about my economics,of course I do.Thats why I made the decision and left my country,for a better future,for my future.I would like to say to young people,like me:Don’t be lazy guys and don’t let the media turn you into a sheep!From the other hand,I try to keep myself always updated with the problems of our society and to help as much as I can.

Ποιο το παράπονο σου από την γενιά μας (20-40); Τι σε ενοχλεί;

I’m worried about young people.Im worried because most of them they are lazy.I absolutely understand that there are not a lot of employment opportunities.Although,you have to take your life on your own hands,you need to be responsible.I love the feeling of independence.I’ve done lots of works to be able to support myself and now I’m so proud of me.Literally.Young people have to be rebels if they want to achieve their dreams.Moreover.I don’t like the way most of them they want to show off.All of us,we need to understand we are living in the period of 2019.There are more things in life than a fancy car or fancy clothes to impress someone.Be intelligent,do as much as you can,work hard,focus on your career,on the life you want to live.Wake up people!

Πως βιώνεις την οικονομική και πολιτική κρίση που περνά η πατρίδα μας εδώ και 10 χρόνια; 

The conditions were bad.I woke up one day and I realized that I don’t do nothing.I wasn’t feeling complete.I had a career on my mind.So I moved to London.As I’ve told you before,I feel blessed.I’m getting paid very well and I’m working really hard.I am ambitious.I love myself and I hope this doesn’t sound selfish!It was the best decision I’ve ever made in my life.As my dad told me:”home is where I lay my head”!My parents gave me strength,courage and wings to fly and I can’t thank them enough for this.

Μια θετική - ελπιδοφόρα σκέψη σου για το αύριο; Ποιο είναι το προσωπικό σου μότο;

I always say to myself: ”You are kind. You are gentle. You are human.” I believe that kindness is your passport. Lots of doors will open for you. Just make the difference!
