The ReMARKables:
Kira Rudik, Ukranian MP and Political Leader
''We work as a shield for Europe since Februar!''

Kira Rudik is a Member of Parliament since 2019 holding the office of People’s Deputy of Ukraine. The 36-year-old politician represents the Voice political party of Ukraine. She is a graduate of National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy holding a Bachelor’s degree in computer science and Master’s in information technology. According to her LinkedIn profile, she has also attended an Executive Training for Women Leaders at Stanford University. Kira Rudik is a former Chief Operating Officer of Amazon-acquired Ring, a smart security company from September 2016 to September 2019. Ukranian MP, Kira Rudik has delivered a warning to Vladimir Putin's invading forces as defending troops ready to "fight like never before" against Russia's campaign of aggression. As Ukraine marks six months since Russian forces invaded, the country has come together to celebrate the nation’s Independence Day. In a fiery statement to mark the occasion, Ukrainian MP Kira Rudik has issued a clear warning to Moscow that Ukraine shows no signs of bowing to Russia’s brutal campaign of violence. Ms Rudik said: “We did not think we would get to this. It is a very happy day for us because we are around, we are alive and we are ready to fight like never before.” The Ukrainian MP spoke of how Independence Day had united the nation to condemn Moscow’s continued pursuit to bring the country under Kremlin control. Ms Rudik said: “This is the first year that we are celebrating Independence Day as a nation that is truly united and truly behind one cause. “We know what we are fighting for and we know what is at stake and we know the way that we want to win an we will.

“This is incredibly important and there is a feeling that we have never had before.” Kira Rudik leader of the political party Voice claimed that Russian forces were playing with fire. Ms Rudik explained that Ukraine was at every moment one accident away from something extremely tragic happening, due to the Russian army currently posing a major nuclear threat. Ukrainian politicians are taking up arms to help repel the Russian invasion. “We work as a shield for Europe,” member of Ukrainian parliament Kira Rudik told CTV News Channel’s Power Play on Monday. “If we fail, there will be no European Union.” Rudik leads Ukraine’s liberal and pro-Europe Holos party, which is advocating for full EU and NATO membership. The day after Russian President Vladimir Putin launched a brutal attack on Ukraine, Rudik picked up an assault rifle. “It was the first time in my life where I was even holding a gun,” Rudik said from Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital. “I haven’t fired [it] except for training, and I hope that I will never have to—but I need to know that I will be ready to protect my family, my house, my city and my country.” She predicted the invasion would last between 20-30 days from now, due to Russia’s high casualties, low morale and unpreparedness for a drawn-out conflict. “First of all, because Russia is losing 1000 people per day, I’m not sure it’s a sustainable pace for the Russian army,” she said. “Secondly, there hasn’t been any big victory that the Russian president can say ‘look, we’ve freed another Ukrainian city’, so that will beat up the morale. “And we see that Putin didn’t plan to have a long war – when we look at the soldiers that are coming in they don’t even have supplies, they hope they will come and be greeted here with open arms, they face the resistance and that’s why they can’t take anything. “Right now, they are in shock. I don’t think that he anticipated any of this – he will regroup now, but he will not be able to hold on to a long, drawn-out war.”
